Our mission
We are a clandestine public service organization dedicated to preserving, protecting, and disseminating humanity’s most bizarre and compelling knowledge, to prevent the world from becoming boring.
Our mission is to transform the unsearchable, the unverifiable, and the utterly ridiculous into a body of unimpeachable fact, providing our agents with the tools to deploy random knowledge at parties and astound dinner guests and work colleagues. We believe in the power of weird knowledge.

We pursue knowledge not because it is needed, but because it exists. We are driven by a need to know things that we probably shouldn’t. We ask the questions that keep others up at night and pursue the answers with a zealous devotion to the strange and unusual. If it happens to be useful, we apologise.

All investigations are conducted with diligence, integrity, and absolutely no regard for practical importance. We are not prone to hysteria. We take a serious, no-nonsense approach to the most outlandish topics, applying a rigorous and objective methodology to everything we look into.
No Fact Too Small, No Tangent Too Long
We follow stories wherever they lead — including footnotes, offshoots, and unrelated sidebars that were arguably more interesting than the main topic.
